Won't Attend Inauguration Of Joe Biden, Tweets Outgoing US President Donald Trump

"To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th," Trump wrote on his Twitter handle.

In a major development, the outgoing US President Donald Trump has shared his thoughts about 'welcoming' the new President. After much hullaballoo around his social media ban, Trump on Friday tweeted stating to not be present during the oath-taking ceremony of President-elect Joe Biden. "To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th," Trump wrote on his Twitter handle.

Trump's statement, however, cannot be considered as a curve ball because he has been repeatedly demeaning the US Presidential election result calling it "fake".  Not since 1869 has an outgoing US president missed the inauguration of the incoming leader. Biden was officially certified as the winner of the Electoral College on Thursday after the mayhem that ensued in the Capitol building on Wednesday. Democrats' Biden final Electoral College count came at 306 against 232 in favor of the Republican Trump. On finally conceding his defeat, Trump released a statement regarding the "orderly transition" of powers. "Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th," he said.
