Texas Park Shooting: 6 People, Including 2 Children, Sent To Local Trauma Facilities

However, Austin-Travis County EMS confirmed that first responders had transported six people, including two children, to local trauma facilities, all with potentially serious injuries, the report stated.

Reflecting on the tragedy, Chief Banks expressed his sorrow: "It breaks your heart for a family that was coming out to enjoy their evening and now their life is forever changed as a result of somebody who could care less about somebody else’s life and that’s so disappointing."

Videos on social media showed police presence at the spot of shooting.

The Juneteenth Festival at Old Settlers Park, organised by the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department, featured musical performances by various artists. Round Rock is situated approximately 20 miles north of Austin.
