The CCTV footage of the robbery at the PNG jeweller's store in the US was widely shared on social media and has gone viral.
A Pune-headquartered jewellery store in the United States was robbed by around twenty robbers, in what seemed like the scenes straight out from a heist film. In the CCTV footage of the incident, twenty masked men can be seen storming into the store and emptying it.
The incident took place at the PNG Jewellers' store in California's Sunnyvale. The robbers, who were mostly masked with some wearing hoodies, broke down the glass doors and rushed inside the store. They easily overpowered the lone security guard who was on duty at the time of the incident, NDTV reported.
The CCTV footage of the smash-and-grab robbery was widely shared on social media and has gone viral.
Once inside, the robbers can be seen spreading out across the jewellery store, smashing all the desks in which the jewelleries were kept.
It seemed like a planned act as every desk appeared to have a pre-assigned robber, who can be seen breaking the glass of the desks, putting the looted jewelleries inside backpacks that they were carrying.
As per the CCTV footage, the entire robbery was carried out in less than three minutes.
According to a local media, their robbers' method showcased their familiarity with the store' floor layout, and it semed that they had closely surveyed it before carrying out the robbery.
As of now five suspects are said to have been arrested, as per the local media.

According to the store's website, the Pune-based jeweller managed to expand from a single store in a small town to a several stores, leaving a global footprint. The PNG group os named after the late businessman Purshottam Narayan Gadgil.
PNG Jewellers has 35 stores across India, with stores in Dubai and the US as well, its website noted.
