US Strategy To 'Create Divisions, Destroy Peace': China On Indo-Pacific Economic Framework
President Joe Biden is visiting the India-pacific region to increase engagement with allies and counter China's rise and influence
New Delhi: China on Sunday launched a broadside against the Indo-Pacific strategy of the US ahead of the Quad leaders summit in Japan, saying that it is “bound to fail” as it is vigorously promoted by Washington to “contain” Beijing. Targeting the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF), Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi said the strategy is "doomed to fail".
"Facts will prove that the so-called 'Indo-Pacific strategy' is essentially a strategy for creating divisions, a strategy for inciting confrontation, and a strategy for destroying peace," the Chinese foreign ministry said in a statement, according to a Bloomberg report.
