Poor Countries To Get 1.2 Billion Covid Vaccine Doses From Japan And Western Countries

According to global vaccine utilization and supply, in order to increase the pace of vaccine in poor countries, Japan and western countries can immediately give nearly 50 crore doses of Covid vaccine.

The Coronavirus has wreaked havoc all over the world. There are still millions of new cases of infection found every day all over the world. It is a sign of relief that the rapid vaccination around the world has slowed down the pace of the pandemic a little. In order to cure Corona, WHO has also pointed out that vaccination is the only way and it is very important that vaccination is carried out all over the world so that it can be permanently cured.

1.2 billion doses can be donated by the end of the year

According to global vaccine utilization and supply, in order to increase the pace of vaccines in poor countries, Japan and western countries can immediately give nearly 50 crore doses of Covid vaccine to poor countries. By the end of the year, this number could increase to 1.2 billion.

There is a huge shortage of vaccine in poor countries

The shortage of Covid vaccine in poor countries can be reduced by the supply of vaccines According to data from the University of Oxford, only 1.8 percent of the population of low-income countries received corona vaccine by September 2, while those in wealthy countries with higher incomes received up to 64 percent of the vaccine.

Airfinity co-founder and CEO Rasmus Bech Hansen said the world has reached a critical point when it comes to vaccine availability and production. The challenge for the big western countries is now demand, not supply. The global supply chain is successfully increasing production and our detailed forecast swells that high-income countries may believe that a lot of vaccines are coming in and that should reduce the need for stockpiling.

According to the company's assessment, the supply of the Covid vaccine has picked up rapidly. Currently, the vaccine producers are making a dose of 1.5 crores Covid vaccines every month.

If WHO approves China's vaccine as well, the number of vaccine donations will increase to 1.6 billion by the end of the year. This number of vaccines will ensure the vaccination of 70 percent of people in Africa's sub-Sahara region where so far just less than 3 percent of people have been vaccinated against Covid.

G7 and EU countries have also pledged to donate 1 billion covid vaccine supplements by June 2022. According to the report, in order to be vaccinated the population of the whole world needs 11.3 billion Covid vaccines Just last month, the number of Covid vaccines produced was more than 6 billion.
