Kabul Mosque Blast: Hand Grenade Thrown At Worshippers, Six Injured. No Casualties Reported

As per reports, the Kabul Police Command said that the explosion took place because of a hand grenade thrown at the worshipers at the mosque. There has been no information of any casualties so far. 

New Delhi: A blast took place in the Pul-e-Khishti mosque in Kabul during prayer time on Wednesday afternoon. Six people have been injured as per TOLO News quoting the Kabul police command.

As per TOLO News, the explosion took place as a hand grenade was thrown at the worshipers. There is no information of any casualties so far.

A similar blast had taken place in Kabul on Sunday which killed one person and injured 59 according to a report by the news agency AP. As per the reports, the blast of April 3, also happened due to a hand grenade that was thrown by an alleged thief in the money changer market in Kabul. 

The information was shared by Kabul's emergency hospital via Twitter which said that 30 of the wounded were admitted for further treatment from the 59 injured. It did not specify the nature of the injuries.

The Afghani capital has been experiencing attacks on a regular basis since the overtake of the country by the Taliban in August 2021. Kabul was the last province to fall before the takeover. Since then there have been multiple reports of human rights violations and attacks in the region.
