Such a case of 'monkeypox' has come to the fore for the first time. This viral disease has been found in an American resident, who recently visited Nigeria. The person has been admitted to the hospital. For the first time in 20 years, such a case has come to the fore.  

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said, "While this case is rare, it will not spread to many people. We do not see any danger to the common people from this disease as of now. In addition to Nigeria, outbreaks of the disease were seen in Central and West African countries in the 1970s. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, monkeypox was seen in America in 2003. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention said that it is working with airline, state, and local health authorities to trace passengers and others who may have come in contact with the patient.

1) What are its symptoms 

- Monkeypox is zoonotic and belongs to the same family as smallpox. - Although less severe than chickenpox, the symptoms are mild. - According to the World Health Organization, the monkeypox virus causes a disease with symptoms similar to smallpox, but less severe. - Common symptoms of infection include fever, pimples, and enlarged lymph nodes. - In humans, it is primarily transmitted by wild animals such as rats or monkeys, although the disease can also spread from person to person.

2) How to protect 

- The Center for Disease and Control said that there is no specific medicine for the disease and no vaccine has been developed for monkeypox so far. - However, it can be controlled with the smallpox vaccines Cidofovir, ST-246, and Vig.
