New Delhi: An unidentified gunman went on a shooting spree in California's Bakersfield  on Wednesday killing five people including his own wife. He then took his own life. Police said there are six deceased out of which one is the suspect. As per reports, when police responded to the first alert, they located three victims of shooting and the suspect had fled. The man is believed to have shot two other victims at another location. When the police spotted the suspect, he shot himself. AFP quoted lieutenant Mark King of the Kern County sheriff's office as saying: “Our detectives have five separate scenes. We are interviewing over 30 witnesses," continued King, adding that the man had used a large caliber handgun.” The entire incident took place over 10 to 15 minutes reportedly. A police official was reported saying that gun-violence is the new normal if one looks across the country. America is grappling with recurring cases of gun-violence, with this being the latest case.
