BIZARRE! This bride got married to herself to get rid of parental pressure

New Delhi: In a bizarre marriage ceremony, an Oxford University student tied the knot to herself in Uganda. As per reports Lulu Jemimah, who got tired of parental pressure decided to get married and so on August 27 she took the vows with herself. In a mock ceremony, the 32-year-old Jemimah wore a wedding gown and walked through the venue and even gave a speech explaining the absence of a groom at the ceremony. Her parents did not attend the ceremony but the bride spoke to her mother and explained things to her. She wrote on her page that her father wrote her wedding speech when she turned 16 and her mother prays daily for a good husband for her- someone who would take care of her. “I decided to put them all at ease. I got married on my 32nd birthday to the one person I am certain will take care of me," she writes.
