Viral Sach: Is your PAN Number that you give during Railway reservation misused?

New Delhi: When we reserve a seat in a train, we need to give a lot of personal details. A message is going viral that claims the personal details are being misused. ABP News investigated the truth. The message says that some people use Pan Card as identity proof for Tatkal booking. People must not share that data as in the reservation chart, name, sex and pan card number is written. This detail could be misused by people who do ‘benami’ transactions. It is also written in the message that police nabbed a man jotting down the details. The man later said he gets Rs 10 for the details. When ABP News talked to Railway Ministry, they said full PAN number is not mentioned in the charts. Only the last three numbers are used. Hence, it is a false message.
