New Delhi: After the Budget Session of Parliament ended on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met many opposition leaders including Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. 

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla were also present during PM Modi's meeting with the leaders of the opposition.

After the pictures of this meeting of PM Modi and Sonia Gandhi surfaced online, people started reacting to the latest pictures on social media.

The leaders who met PM Modi included SP founder Mulayam Singh, TR Balu, Farooq Abdullah, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury etc. 

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla shared photos of meeting with leaders of all parties on Twitter saying, "After Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die, I urged Hon'ble leaders of parties that collective efforts in raising the level of discussions & dialogue further is necessary in order to enhance the dignity of the House. It's my sincere hope that all parties will actively co-operate in this endeavour."

The proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned sine die on Thursday. The meeting was to go on till April 8 as per the pre-schedule, but a day before that the session was adjourned indefinitely. 27 sittings were held in this session and the work productivity of the House stood at 129 per cent. 

Earlier, on Thursday morning, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, "The sittings of the House lasted for about 177 hours and 50 minutes during which 182 starred questions were answered."
