"Risk Of Further Incitement Of Violence": Twitter On Permanently Suspending Donald Trump's Account

Earlier this week, the micro-blogging site had said that future violations by Donald Trump may lead to a permanent suspension of his Twitter account.

In yet another set back for the outgoing US President, Twitter has permanently suspended the account of Donald Trump citing "risk of further incitement of violence." ALSO READ | Joe Biden US President: US Congress Formally Certifies Biden's Election Victory, Transfer Of Power On Jan 20th Despite warnings from the social media platform on Thursday, Trump on Friday tweeted, "The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!" Shortly thereafter, the outgoing President said, "To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th." Taking cognizance of his posts, the San Francisco-based company in a blog post said, "After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence."
After the suspension of his personal Twitter account, US President Donald Trump tweeted from his official @POTUS account but the tweets were taken down within minutes. In a now-deleted tweet, outgoing US President Donald Trump said he was looking at "possibilities of building out our own platform in near future".

Inc initially temporarily suspended  Trump's account for 12 hours for posting a series of tweets that misled users about the presidential election results. The leader posted false accusations about the election with the supporters storming the Capitol after a Trump rally. One even included a video message of Trump expressing love for the insurgents and calling the election "fraudulent." In response to the President's reaction on Twitter, the micro-blogging site said that future violations by Trump may also lead to a permanent suspension.
