Triumph To Launch Updated Tiger Explorer in July

The Triumph Tiger Explorer is one of the best adventure touring motorcycle on sale in the Indian two wheeler market. While the Tiger Explorer received a mild update in 2016, Triumph will now launch a thoroughly updated 2017 version with updated mechanicals and improved electronic aids soon. The 2017 Tiger Explorer will continue to be powered by the same 1,215cc three-cylinder engine, but is now rated at 139PS at 9300rpm and 123Nm at 6200 rpm (a bump of 2PS and 2Nm when compared to the earlier motor). The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is constructed around a tubular steel trellis frame and gets WP 46mm USD (up-side down) forks with adjustable preload and 190mm of travel at the front and a WP monoshock with 193mm of wheel travel connected to a single-sided cast aluminium alloy swingarm with an integrated drive shaft.

Switchable ABS is offered as standard. The bike is shod with tubeless 120/70 R19 tyres at the front and 170/60 R17 tyres at the rear. It gets a fuel tank capacity of 20 litres and weighs 246kg. It also gets an adjustable seat height which ranges between  837mm to 857mm. The seat height might be an issue for shorter riders.
