Telegram Mocks WhatsApp's New Privacy Policy; Shares GIF Of Coffin Dancers To Troll Messaging App

Telegram has mocked WhatsApp's new policy of sharing user data with Facebook. The app tweeted a GIF of the coffin dancers meme with a snapshot of WhatsApp's privacy policy imposed on top of it.

WhatsApp recently announced changes to its policy and terms of service, indicating that user data would be shared with its parent company, Facebook. The firm has made it mandatory for the users to accept its policy and terms of service else their accounts will be deleted. Given the timing, the popularity of other messaging applications such as Signal or Telegram rose with both services adding new users in huge numbers. Telegram even mocked WhatsApp's new policy of sharing user data with Facebook with a classic two Spider-Man meme. The messaging app has once again found another fitting meme to take a dig at the Facebook-owned company. The app tweeted a GIF of the coffin dancers meme with a snapshot of WhatsApp's updated privacy policy imposed on top of it.
For obvious reasons, the netizens are enjoying the tiff. Telegram's pointed dig has garnered over 2.5 lakh 'likes' and over 63,000 retweets.
