Sanjay Raut Slams Mehbooba Mufti Over Demand Of Talks With Pakistan, Says BJP Responsible For It Too
While speaking to reporters Raut said that PDP was once BJP’s “friend”. BJP and PDP had formed an alliance in 2015 which was later disbanded in 2018.
New Delhi: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut took a jibe at People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti and BJP on Sunday over her comment on peace in Kashmir, news agency PTI reported.
A day after Mufti said that peace in Kashmir can only be possible if the Centre holds talks with Pakistan and the people of Kashmir, Raut said that it is BJP’s fault that she can make such a statement as they gave her this strength by forming an alliance with her party.
While speaking to reporters Raut said that PDP was once BJP’s “friend”. BJP and PDP had formed an alliance in 2015 which was later disbanded in 2018.
He also alleged that PDP is “pro-Pakistan and sympathises with terrorists.” Raut’s statements came after Mufti reiterated on Saturday that the center must hold talks with Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue that has been going on for decades.
Targeting Mufti, Raut said that she supported the Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru and still BJP made an alliance with her.
"Now, the same Mehbooba Mufti wants dialogue with Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue. This is a sin of the BJP," he said.
"The BJP gave strength to such people by sharing power with them...Hence, the BJP is responsible for what Mehbooba Mufti is saying," he further added.
He also said that, unlike BJP, Shiv Sena will always oppose Mufti’s ideology.
Raut further talked about sycophancy and targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over BJP Leader Chandrakant Patil’s comment that the PM sleeps for only two hours a day.
"Sycophants had been there previously too. Even Mahatma Gandhi had sycophants. Sardar Patel too had sycophants. But we never saw such sycophants earlier...this is the height of sycophancy," he said.
