Sanjay Raut Says Shiv Sena Will Always Remain A Hindutva Party, It's BJP Whose Ideology Should Be Questioned

Sanjay Raut also said a question of political ideology should be asked to the BJP that where did their political ideology go when they formed a government with Mehbooba Mufti in Kashmir.

New Delhi: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday said that the Uddhav Thackeray-led party was a Hindutva party, and will always remain the same. Raut, who is in Nagpur, also said a question of political ideology should be asked to the Bharatiya Janata Party that where did their political ideology go when they formed a government with Mehbooba Mufti in Kashmir.

"Where did their political ideology go? I've many such questions," news agency ANI quoted Raut as saying.

Last week, Raut said Shiv Sena will not form an alliance with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).

Raut’s statement came after AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel said that his party can form an alliance with the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition to prevent the BJP from coming to power. The MVA is a state-level political coalition formed after the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election.

"Uddhav Thackeray in his meeting with party MPs and district presidents today said that Shiv Sena will not ally with AIMIM. He added that AIMIM is BJP's 'B-team'," ANI quoted Raut as saying.

Last week, Raut cleared the speculation around the proposed AIMIM alliance by saying that the Maharashtra government is formed by three parties, Shiv Sena, Congress, and Nationalist Congress Party, ANI reported. He also said that there will be no inclusion of any fourth party.

Quoting Raut, an ANI report said that Shiv Sena was formed on the values of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj and would continue with the same values.

Last week, Raut also commented on the movie ‘The Kashmir Files’. He said that it is just a movie and that it would not help any political advantage in the upcoming elections.
