Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha Begins In Ayodhya: Watch

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi temple hosts a three-day Pran Pratishtha ceremony from June 3, consecrating Ram Darbar and eight new temples within the complex.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi temple complex is glowing with spectacular lights as the sacred Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar begins today. This marks the second major phase of consecration, following the grand event led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2024, when the idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated.

The current three-day spiritual event will run from June 3 to June 5, coinciding with the holy occasion of Ganga Dussehra on the final day. The rituals also mark the completion of the entire Ram Mandir complex, a landmark moment for millions of devotees worldwide.

Sacred Installations Across the Temple Complex

This phase of the ceremony includes the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Darbar on the first floor of the main temple, and eight newly constructed Devalayas (temples) housing various Shastriya Devtas across the premises.

Each deity’s idol will be consecrated with full Vedic rituals:

  • Northeast (Ishan Kon): Shivling
  • Southeast (Agni Kon): Shri Ganesha
  • Southern arm: Balshali Hanuman Ji
  • Southwest (Nairitya Kon): Surya Dev
  • Northwest (Vayavya Kon): Devi Bhagwati
  • Northern arm: Maa Annapurna
  • Main Mandir First Floor: Shri Ram Darbar
  • Southwest Corner: Sheshavatar

According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, daily rituals will begin at 6:30 AM. On June 5, the Pran Pratishtha will take place precisely at 11:25 AM, followed by pujan, bhog, and aarti, concluding the ceremonies by 1:00 PM.

Kalash Yatra And Spiritual Recitations

A day ahead of the event, a grand Kalash Yatra was conducted from the sacred banks of the Sarayu River in the presence of saints, acharyas, trustees, and thousands of devotees. The Yatra traveled through Veena Chowk, Ram Path, Singar Haat, and Rang Mahal before arriving at the temple.

Rituals on June 3 and 4 include fire offerings, recitation of 1,975 mantras, Ram Raksha Stotra, Hanuman Chalisa, and other devotional hymns — all held from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Public Access and Security Measures

While the main sanctum of Ram Lalla remains open for darshan, the first-floor Ram Darbar and surrounding Devalayas are still under construction and not yet open to the public. A system allowing only 50 devotees per hour via passes is under consideration, pending final approval.

Security has been tightened considerably, with ATS, STF, and armed commandos deployed. The temple zone has been designated a red zone, with 24-hour surveillance in place.

District officials have arranged shaded areas, water, sanitation, and emergency healthcare to manage crowds. CM Yogi Adityanath will attend key events, including the consecration and World Environment Day observance.

Meat and Liquor Ban Under Consideration

Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi announced that steps are being taken to ban liquor and meat sales, especially along Ram Path. “It was under discussion for a very long time... We are sure that we soon ban liquor sale too,” he told ANI.
