New Delhi: After a series of snubs from the party boss, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, former Union Minister RCP Singh resigned from the primary membership of Janata Dal United (JDU) on Saturday, as reported by news agency PTI. RCP Singh has taken this step amid allegations of corruption. Nitish Kumar's party Janata Dal United today sought an explanation from its former national president RCP Singh on serious allegations of corruption leveled by some party workers.
Party's state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha had sought a reply from former Union minister RCP Singh. Singh's term in the Rajya Sabha ended recently but the party did not send him to the House again.
"The allegations are a conspiracy by those who envied my getting inducted into the Union cabinet. I would like to tell them that those living in glass houses must not hurl stones at others. I also hereby give up my primary membership of the party," RCP Singh said.
