Mumbai: Speeding Mercedes Kills 20-Year-Old Zomato Delivery Boy In Andheri; Sonu Sood Assures Help To Family

A young Zomato delivery boy was killed instantly after a speeding Mercedes car rammed into his scooty.

New Delhi: A Mercedes at top speed hit a Zomato delivery person on Thursday night killing him on the spot. According to reports, the speeding Mercedes hit the scooter of the delivery boy. The incident occurred at Lokhandwala in Andheri area. The 20-year-old Zomato worker has been identified as Satish Paras Nath Gupta. The police have started investigating the case and have removed the car which was in a bad condition from the accident spot. The driver of the car has been taken into custody by the Oshiwara police. The Zomato team has reached the accident spot and is also present at the police station. On the other hand, Gupta's family has alleged police negligence and said that the investigation is not being done properly. They also suspect that it may be because it involves a high-profile person. Bollywood Actor Sonu Sood who is become known for his philanthropy has spoken with Gupta’s family and assured help. He has even spoken with the police and if necessary may even go to meet the aggrieved family. Sood had recently started a drive to gift e-rickshaws to the underprivileged who have lost their source of livelihood during the pandemic. This project is an important step towards creating employment opportunities at a time when the economy is recuperating from the losses incurred.
