Rain LIVE Updates 2023: Hello and welcome to ABP Live's Moonsoon 2023 LIVE blog. Please follow this space for all the news and latest updates regarding downpours across various parts of the country. Large parts of India continue to battle flood and waterlogging issues as rain continues to lash the states of Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Gujarat, and Delhi. Huge loss of lives and damage to property have been reported with several instances of landslides and rockslides. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued 'Red', 'Orange', and 'Yellow' alerts for several states and districts.

The water level in the Godavari river in Telangana's Bhadrachalam continued to flow above the 'danger' mark on Sunday morning. People living in vulnerable areas have been evacuated and shifted to relief camps in the district. In a relief for the authorities, the rainfall intensity reduced on Saturday and rescue work picked up pace in flood-affected areas of Telangana. The death toll in rain-related incidents rose to 16, PTI reported.

In the wake of heavy rains and floods in Maharashtra, 13 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been dispatched to various areas in the state. According to India Meteorological Department, Mumbai has received over 90 per cent of the average seasonal rainfall till Thursday. The average monsoon rainfall in Mumbai is 2300 mm and the number has already touched 2128 mm. The number marks 92.5 per cent of the annual average rainfall in Mumbai.

Rain lashed parts of the national capital during the wee hours on Saturday morning. Parts of the Delhi-NCR region including Noida and Ghaziabad experienced heavy rainfall early in the morning yesterday. The water level in the Yamuna river in Delhi stood at 205.2 metres (below the 'Danger' mark) at 7 am on Sunday.

The rise in water level has been a matter of concern, leading to a flood-like situation in the national capital and adjoining regions. The river water level had been hovering around the danger mark of 205.33 metres for the last few days after reaching an all-time high of 208.66 metres on July 13.
