Gyanvapi Mosque Case: Varanasi Court Reserves Verdict Until Tomorrow

During the hearing, only 23 people including 19 lawyers and 4 petitioners were allowed inside the courtroom. Also, tight security arrangements were made in the court premises.

New Delhi: The district court of Varanasi on Monday completed the hearing of arguments in the Kashi Vishwanath temple-Gyanvapi mosque case in Uttar Pradesh and reserved its decision until tomorrow. A total of 3 petitions have been filed in the court, on which the court hearing was heard. District Judge Dr. Ajay Kumar Vishvesha conducted the hearing. The hearing in the court lasted for about 30 minutes. The mosque committee needs the "maintainability" case to be heard first, and the court will decide tomorrow assuming it'll acknowledge that request.

Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee has filed a petition on behalf of the Muslim side. Whereas Lakshmi Devi, Rakhi Singh, Sita Sahu, Manju Vyas and Rekha Pathak have filed the petition on behalf of the Hindu side.

During the hearing, only 23 people including 19 lawyers and 4 petitioners were allowed inside the courtroom. Also, tight security arrangements were made on the court premises.

A total of 7 demands have been placed on behalf of both the parties in the Varanasi court. The Hindu side has demanded that daily worship should be given in Shringar Gauri, permission should be given to worship the Shivling found in 'Wazu Khana', and the debris should be removed by breaking the wall in front of Nandi, and survey to know the length and width of Shivling.

On the other hand, the Muslim side has filed a petition and placed two demands before the court. The Muslim side has opposed the sealing of the 'Wazu Khana'. Along with this, questions have been raised on the Gyanvapi survey and case under the 1991 Act. The Supreme Court has given 8 weeks to the Varanasi Court for a hearing and asked to complete the hearing within this time.
