'You Are Alive Because Of Narendra Modi': Bihar Minister Ram Surat Rai Proclaims In Viral Video

"If you all are alive today, it is because of Narendra Modi", Bihar Minister can be heard praising the Prime Minister for his work during Covid.

New Delhi: A video of Bihar Minister and BJP leader Ram surat Rai has gone viral over social media. The Revenue Minister of Bihar was seen praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the widely shared clip. Rai hailed PM Modi for his development work done during the Covid-19 pandemic but what caught the attention of the viewers was his effusive praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the purported video, the minister for revenue and land reforms can be seen holding forth before a small crowd, under a thatched roof.

While addressing a gathering of BJP supporters, the Bihar Minister said that people are alive in the country because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he invented the Covid vaccine.

Ramsurat Rai says in the video, "if you remember the Covid period and the economic situation, every country was experiencing its worst time. You can ask our neighbour Pakistan, and most of us saw their condition through TV and other mediums. People in India also lost their loved ones but still people are now at peace because of PM Narendra Modi.  you are alive because of PM... if PM Modi hadn't invented the Covid vaccine and distributed it for free, nobody would be alive...there is nobody sitting here who can forget the second wave of Covid...but now they are alive because of Narendra Modi as everyone took the Covid vaccine."

According to a PTI report, the video was likely shot last week in Muzaffarpur district to which Rai belongs. The minister has been in news for his lack of restraint on more than one occasion in the recent past.

In the heat of the anti-Agnipath protests, he had dubbed the arsonists as "aatanki" (terrorists), much to the annoyance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U), which had taken a sympathetic view of the agitation. Last month, his outbursts against the CM's veto on transfers and postings of more than 100 officials he had cleared, also made headlines.
