Yogi's cabinet: KP Maurya gets PWD, Dinesh Sharma Higher Education; CM keeps this ministry with himself

New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, allotted portfolios to his team members. CM has kept Home Ministry with himself. Here is a list about who get what:
  • Keshav Prasad Murya: PWD, Food Processing, Entertainment Tax and Public Enterprises Department.
  • Rajesh Agarwal: Finance
  • Shrikant Sharma: Power Ministry
  • Suresh Khanna: Parliamentary Affairs Ministry
  • Chetan Chauhan: Sports And Youth Development
  • Dinesh Sharma: Higher and Secondary Education, Science and Technology, Electronics and IT departments.
  • Surya Pratap Shahi: Agriculture Ministry
  • Rita Joshi: Women Welfare Ministry
  • Swati Singh: Minister of State for Women Welfare (Independent charge)
  • Swami Maurya: Labour Ministry
[ALSO READ] After Yogi becoming CM: Police stations in UP to have this new setup for safety of girls Earlier in the day,  the firebrand Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath issued order banning paan masala, gutka, polythene in all government offices in the Uttar Pradesh. The motive behind the move? Government servants work in healthy and clean environment.

Vowing to work for the all-round development of Uttar Pradesh, new Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said on Tuesday that his priorities will be to rid the state of corruption and communal riots.

"We will work to make the state free of corruption, rowdyism and hooliganism. We will present a developmental model which will prevent distress migration of youths for jobs," he said. Adiyanath, a long-time BJP member of Parliament from Gorakhpur, told the Lok Sabha that he will curb anti-social elements in the country's most populous state. (With inputs from IANS)
