Yogi Adityanath meets Sanjay Dutt as part of BJP's 'Sampark for Samarthan' initiative

The "Sampark se Samarthan" (contact for support) campaign was launched to mark the four years of the Modi government last month.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Saturday met actor Sanjay Dutt as part of BJP's 'Sampark for Samarthan' initiative. Dutt, who is shooting in Lucknow and Varanasi these days for a movie shooting, arrived at the chief minister’s office where he was briefed about the achievements of the Modi government’s four-year tenure. In the visuals, Dutt and Adityanath were both seen having an informal conversation as the atmosphere appeared to be amiable. During this week, senior leader and ministers met Bollywood celebrities and other noted personalities as part of the BJP's "contact for support" campaign. On Friday Union minister Nitin Gadkari today met Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father and noted script-writer Salim Khan, veteran actor Nana Patekar, and Yes Bank CEO Rana Kapoor at their residences in Mumbai.  The former BJP president presented some booklets highlighting the achievements of the Modi government in the past four years to them. Though Salim Khan and Salman did not comment or tweet about the meeting, the two "liked" Gadkari's post on Twitter. Gadkari also tweeted after meeting Kapoor and Patekar, saying he discussed development initiatives of the Modi government in the last four years with them. The "Sampark se Samarthan" (contact for support) campaign was launched to mark the four years of the Modi government last month. As many as 4,000 functionaries of the party will contact one lakh people, who are recognised names in their respective fields, to inform them about the government's work in the last four years. Earlier, BJP chief Amit Shah had called on actor Madhuri Dixit-Nene and industrialist Ratan Tata in Mumbai. (With inputs from PTI)
