Woman Held Captive, Raped For Two Days In Gurugram: Report

According to the complainant, the accused and the woman became friends and kept in touch even after the man relocated to a new place.

A 20-year-old woman was allegedly held captive and repeatedly raped by her friend in Gurugram, news agency PTI reported on Thursday citing a police statement.

According to the complaint filed by the woman, the accused, known as Rasdul, lived as a tenant in the woman's house.

According to the complainant, the accused and the woman became friends and continued in touch even after the man moved to another residence.

They claimed that on December 26, the man brought the woman to his room, held her captive, raped her repeatedly for two days, and threatened to murder her, as per the report.

According to the police, the woman managed to release herself and tell her family about the event, following which they went to the police.

On Wednesday, an FIR was filed against the accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 342 (wrongful imprisonment), as per Inspector Rajender Kumar, SHO of Kherki Daula police station, according to the report.

He stated that efforts are being made to arrest the accused.
