'Why Should I Join BJP?': JDU's Upendra Kushwaha Refutes Rumours Of Joining Saffron Party

Upendra Kushwaha stated that he has spent a long time striving to safeguard the JDU.

In the midst of talks about joining the BJP, JDU leader Upendra Kushwaha convened a meeting with his former RLSP colleagues and important members of the Mahatma Phule Samta Parishad. In an interview with ANI, Kushwaha attempted to clarify the air by stating that he is not joining the BJP and is attempting to preserve the JDU, news agency ANI reported.

Upendra Kushwaha stated that he has spent a long time striving to safeguard the JDU. He stated that Bihar Chairman Minister and JDU chief Nitish Kumar is not paying attention to this, which is why he called a gathering of party workers to find a way to preserve their party.

"I have been working to protect the JD(U) for so long, but CM Nitish Kumar is not paying much attention to this & that’s why I have called a meeting of party workers so that we can find a solution to save this party," Upendra Kushwaha was quoted by ANI on its official Twitter handle.

Kushwaha stated that individuals creating rumours about his joining the BJP are those who do not have answers to his inquiries.

On February 19 and 20, the summit will be held in Patna. In addition to calling for a conference, Upendra Kushwaha issued a letter expressing worry over JDU's fragmentation. In the letter, he also stated that Nitish Kumar is not paying attention to the party's difficulties, which is why a conversation is necessary.

Kushwaha's recent words have reignited the rhetoric among the Bihar government's partnership of the RJD and the Janata Dal (United).

Meanwhile, CM Nitish Kumar's Samadhan Yatra arrived in Katihar, where it was met with opposition by residents of Dighari Panchayat, Korha block. The demonstrators claimed that they were not permitted to meet with the CM. They also set fire to posters of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
