'Whenever Someone Tries To Break INDIA...': AAP's Raghav Chadha On AIADMK-BJP Fallout
The Rajya Sabha MP, who is expected to marry actor Parineeti Chopra this month, said that whenever someone tries to break INDIA, it itself breaks and disintegrates and the same thing happened today.
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha on Monday took a dig at the BJP after its Tamil Nadu ally All India Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) announced that there was no alliance with the saffron party as of now.
The Rajya Sabha MP, who is expected to marry actor Parineeti Chopra in Rajasthan this month, said that whenever someone tries to break INDIA, it itself breaks and disintegrates and the same thing happened today.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Chadha said, "Whenever someone tried to break 'INDIA', it itself broke and disintegrated... Same thing happened today. Our INDIA alliance was strong yesterday and is strong even today, but sadly the NDA which throws stones at other people's houses could not save its own house."
The remarks came after senior AIADMK leader and former Tamil Nadu minister, D Jayakumar on Monday said that his party currently has no alliance with the saffron party and that a decision on the matter will be made during the upcoming elections, reported IANS.
Speaking to reporters in Chennai, the AIADMK leader trained its guns against BJP Tamil Nadu president K Annamalai for his remarks against CN Annadurai, the first Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and AIADMK founder MG Ramachandran's mentor.
"BJP is not in alliance with the AIADMK and we will decide about the alliance later," he said, according to IANS.
The former minister further stated that while the BJP cadres wanted an alliance with the AIADMK, the state president does not want so. "Annamalai doesn’t desire an alliance with AIADMK although BJP workers want it. Should we tolerate all this criticism of our leaders? Why should we carry you? BJP can’t set foot here. Your votebank is known. You are known because of us," the former minister had told reporters.
Jayakumar also lashed out at Annamalai alleging that he has been frequently criticising the AIADMK leaders.
At least 28 parties have come together to forge the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc to take on the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
The AIADMK has for long been an alliance partner of the BJP at the Centre.
