Watch: Red Streaks, Explosions In J-K’s Srinagar, Udhampur As Pak Violates Ceasefire; CM Omar Remarks ‘What The Hell’

Ceasefire breached as Pakistan drones intercepted over Srinagar, prompting shock and concern from leaders amid rising border tensions.

Earlier today, after four days of continuous cross-border tensions, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, committing to avoid any further escalation.

However, just moments ago, Srinagar witnessed drone attacks from Pakistan, marking a significant breach of the ceasefire, which explicitly stated that no violations would occur after 1700 hours.

ANI posted a video showing drones being neutralized by Indian air defense in the sky, captioned:

(Visuals deferred by an unspecified time).”

Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah also expressed his shock on X, stating:

“What the hell just happened to the ceasefire? Explosions heard across Srinagar!!!”

Jammu And Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also posted a video on his X handle in which he captured the loud bangs on the Pakistani drones getting neutralised by the India Air Defence System. He posted the video with a caption stating, "This is no ceasefire. The air defence units in the middle of Srinagar just opened up."

In between all this multiple cities of India has gone under total blackout again. And many cities of J&K witnessed drones over them.

In a significant development, India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire, bringing an end to days of escalating tensions along the Line of Control (LoC). The ceasefire, confirmed by Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Saturday evening, follows a request from Pakistan to de-escalate the situation.

However, despite this agreement, tensions remain high, as a BSF trooper was killed and seven others were injured in Pakistani firing along the International Border in Jammu on the same day, officials reported. The incident took place in the R S Pura sector, where sub-inspector Mohammed Imteyaz made the ultimate sacrifice while bravely leading from the front.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs is set to provide further clarity on the ceasefire agreement in a scheduled briefing at 6 pm this evening, as both nations seek to stabilize the situation and prevent further escalation.

Meanwhile, the BSF's Jammu frontier paid tribute to Imteyaz, stating, "We salute the supreme sacrifice made by BSF braveheart sub-inspector Md Imteyaz in service of the nation on May 10, 2025, during cross-border firing along the International Boundary in R S Pura area, district Jammu."

The post also noted that the BSF director general and all ranks expressed their deepest condolences to his family.
