WATCH: Part of Nainital's Mall Road collapses into lake

A 25-meter-long stretch of the road that runs adjacent to the Naini lake of Nainital, fell into the lake late last evening.

New Delhi: Revealing its precarious condition, a part of Uttarakhand’s famous Mall Road in Nainital, broke apart and collapsed into the Naini Lake. A 25-meter-long stretch of the road that runs adjacent to the Naini lake of Nainital, fell into the lake late last evening. (Saturday) No casualty has been reported so far. The part that collapsed was of the lower Mall Road, the main Mall Road is also at the risk of collapsing. Rajeev Rautela, who was the DM of Gorakhpur when the BRD Hospital tragedy took place, is currently the commissioner of Kumaon.
