WATCH: Bus Takes Wrong Side Of Lane In Bengaluru, Netizens Demand Action

The video has sparked widespread outrage online with users condemning the blatant disregard for traffic rules and public safety.

Reckless driving is a major concern in India, with frequent incidences highlighting the hazards of such behaviour. A recent occurrence in Bengaluru has underlined the dangers of careless driving as a bus was captured riding on the wrong side of the road.

In a viral video on X (formerly known as Twitter), a passerby driving on the opposite lane has captured the dangerous act. The recorded video showed a bus moving against the traffic on NICE Road, connecting Bannerghatta Junction to the Electronic City toll, as per a report on Hindustan Times. Even though the risk was visible, the bus driver continued undeterred and weaved through vehicles speeding past. The video has sparked widespread outrage online with users condemning the blatant disregard for traffic rules and public safety.

The post also garnered several comments calling for a penalty and even the cancellation of driving licence. A X user said, "That's worthy of cancelling the Driving License."

"The question I have is how did he manage to enter from opposite lane!!" a X user asked.

Another social media user said, "Arrests and jail time is the only way to fix this. They collect all this Toll and no monitoring by NICE ?"

However, ABP Live did not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

Meanwhile, similar violations have been reported in the region. Recently, a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus was seen traveling on the wrong side of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway. In another instance, a school bus driver was booked for driving in the wrong direction on the same highway endangering the lives of children and other road users.
