Fact Check: Is There A Nationwide Lockdown From December 1st? Know Truth Behind Viral Message

A viral message claims that there will be a nationwide lockdown from December 1st due to a resurgence in Covid-19 cases. PIB has dismissed the claim.

New Delhi: A tweet claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that there will be a new strict form of lockdown from December 1st, 2020 has become viral on social media after a prominent media outlet tweeted about it. But the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has dismissed the reports and has informed that the message is just a rumour. The government has asked people to be beware of such news and not to believe in rumours. PIB has also said this using a tweet that says that'' tweet which was posted by a prominent media outlet is false.
