Kanpur Shootout: 2 More Henchmen Of Vikas Dubey Killed In Separate Encounters; 5 Gunned Down By Cops So Far

Kanpur Shootout: Prabhat Mishra and Ranveer (alias Bawan) of Dubey’s gang, both key members, who were also involved in the killing of the eight cops during botched raid at Dubey’s residence in Bikru village, have been shot dead by the police.

Vikas Dubey Update: Two more henchmen of Vikas Dubey, the history-sheeter, who is on a run since last six days after the Kanpur shootout, have been gunned down by the police on Thursday morning in separate encounters. Ranveer was shot in a police encounter in Uttar Pradesh’s Ittawa. While Prabhat Mishra was gunned down in Kanpur during his bid to escape police. Senior Superintendent of Police who was at the site of the encounter in Kanpur, told ABP News that Mishra snatched a pistol from a sub-inspector while fleeing and also opened fire at the police party, in which two personnel of UP Special Task Force received bullet injuries. He was finally gunned down in the encounter. Prabhat Mishhra was arrested yesterday Dubey, apparently always a step ahead of the cops, was last evidently spotted at Faridabad Hotel, but managed to escape the place before cops raided in at the Badhkal Chowk hotel. He stayed at a residence in sector 87 of Faridabad, from where the police whisked three people, one Prabhat Mishra who was his key associate and rest two - the residents of the house. Police shot Mishra on Thursday morning as he tried to run away from captivity. 5 aides of Dubey encountered so far With the Thursday’s encounters, police has so far killed 5 associated of Vikas Dubey, involved in the Bikru village shootout. Amar Dubey, another close aide of Dubey was killed in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) in Hamirpur on Wednesday. Amar Dubey, who carried a reward of Rs 25,000 on him, was a co-accused in the  killing of the eight cops.  UP Special Task Force (STF) gunned him down in coordination with the local police unit in Hamirpur. Earlier Prem Prakash Pandey, uncle of Vikas Dubey, and Atul Dubey, his cousin, have been killed  by the police. Also Watch:  Vikas Dubey's aide Prabhat Mishra shot dead while trying to escape Police have named 21 people in the FIR registered after the attack. The FIR also mentioned 50-60 unidentified people. The Kanpur police released the photos of 15 criminals said to be close to Dubey. They are putting up posters carrying the pictures of these alleged criminals, most of them carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 for their arrest. (additional inputs from PTI)
