VIDEO: Woman's saree gets stuck in moving train, jawan saves her
Many fatal rail accidents have been reported in the recent past involving commuters who slip into the gap between the platform and the train.
MUMBAI: A woman in Mumbai came close to getting severely hurt when she was getting off of a local train Kanjurmarg on Tuesday. The incident happened when the woman got off of the train and her sari got entangled in the gap between the platform and train.
In the video, the woman can be seen standing at the edge of the compartment when the incident took place.
The female passenger was saved by A Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawan when she slipped from the running train. A CCTV at the railway station has captured the shocking incident.
As per reports, the woman sustained grievous injuries and was immediately treated. The condition of the woman is stable and she is under observation at the nearest hospital.
The incident comes as a lesson for people who try to get off from a moving train and don't prioritise safety.
A similar incident happened in February this year when a woman was trying to board a moving train, Valsad Express, when she fell at Mumbai railway station. In a prompt action, a CRPF official saved her life by dragging her away from the train. As she was helped in time, she was safe with a few injuries.
