VHP Opposes Construction Of Haj House In Dwarka, Asks Kejriwal Govt To Review Decision
Jain said the construction of a Haj House is being planned in a very sensitive area in Dwarka area despite objection from the locals.
New Delhi: Opposing the construction of a Haj House in Delhi’s Dwarka area, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) joint general secretary Surendra Jain on Wednesday asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government to review the decision.
Jain said the construction of a Haj House is being planned in a very sensitive area in Dwarka area despite objection from the locals.
The VHP leader said the Kejriwal government hasn't relented despite the protests, adding they have not even responded to the protests.
“The Vishwa Hindu Parishad announces that under no condition will a Haj House be allowed to be built there, people will pull out every single brick,” he said.
The VHP leader in a statement later said “the Delhi government should give up the idea of the Haj House, stop serving infiltrators and jihadis and take care of the Hindu society too”.
“Otherwise, the society of the national capital will be forced to come on the streets,” he added.
The Delhi Police had last week filed an FIR against several people, who were protesting against the construction of the Haj House in Dwarka, for violating the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) guidelines.
The protest took place after the All Dwarka Residents' Federation wrote to Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal urging him to cancel the land allotted for construction of the Haj House.
