'Verbal belligerence' no substitute for policy and action: Congress targets Modi

New Delhi: Congress on Saturday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for "shooting the breeze" on the Uri terror attack in his speech at the BJP meet and said that "verbal belligerence" can never be a substitute for policy and action. "Prime Minister is only shooting the breeze. He is trying to hide the inefficiency of his government behind rhetoric," Congress leader Manish Tewari told IANS. The Congress leader's remarks came after the Prime Minister targetted Pakistan in his speech in Kozhikode at the BJP's National Council meet. Modi accused Pakistan of exporting terrorism, saying that "There is one country in Asia which wants bloodbath in Asia". Modi has also said that there is anger in India post the September 18 Uri terror attack and that the sacrifices of the 18 soldiers killed would not be forgotten.
