'Tumne Sikho Par Atyachar Becha Hai. Sharm Karo': PM Modi Counters Congress's 'Mohabbat Ki Dukan' Slogan

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday took a dig at Congress's 'Mohabbat ki dukan' slogan, calling it 'loot ki dukaan, jhooth ka bazar.' Modi was, notably, responding to the no-confidence motion moved against his government by the Opposition INDIA bloc.
During his speech, Modi said that the Congress party has been relaunching the same product. "The country is calling their pyaar ki dukaan, loot ki dukaan, jhooth ka bazar," PM Modi said in Lok Sabha.
"This market has sold emergency, torture on Sikhs, partition, appeasement politics, and the Army's self-respect," he added.

Modi also countered Rahul Gandhi's remark that Lanka was not set ablaze by Hanuman, but by Ravan's arrogance.
"It is true that Lanka was not set ablaze by Hanuman, it was set ablaze by his (Ravan) arrogance. People are also like Lord Ram and that is why you have been reduced to 40 from 400. People elected full majority government twice but it is troubling you that how come a poor man is sitting here and this is not letting you sleep and the people of the country will not let you sleep even in 2024. There was a time when cakes were cut in aeroplanes on birthdays, but today vaccines are being sent for the poor in those aeroplanes," he said.
Meanwhile, the Opposition chanted slogans demanding the PM to speak on the issue of Manipur on the floor of the House. The Lower House of the Parliament echoed with slogans of "we want Manipur" as Modi spoke to the no-confidence motion.
