This Manipur IAS officer is the new hero on the internet and here is why

Standing in waist-deep water the IAS officer was seen leading the relief works, setting an example for others to follow.

New Delhi: IAS officer Deleep Singh is being hailed as the hero of the day on the internet after his picture leading relief works in flood-hit area of Imphal has gone viral. Imphal has been facing torrential rains from past couple of days leading to flood-like situation there, completely throwing normal life out of gear. A picture of Singh in which he can be seen spearheading the relief operations has left one and all speechless. It is being widely circulated on the platform and is winning laurels. Deleep Singh, the secretary, flood control was himself carrying out his duties on the ground level, in waist-deep water. He is being lauded for the sheer dedication towards work and is being said to be an example for the government to follow. Another IAS Siddharth Devverman shared his picture on the Twitter with the caption: "Deleep singh IAS secretary flood control in blue shirt on the job in flood hit Manipur"

Imphal has been witnessing heavy downpour along with other regions, which has been posing flood-threat throughout the state. .
