The NDA has no strategy in Kashmir: Rahul Gandhi

Mati (Kanpur rural): Rahul Gandhi today accused Pakistan of being responsible for the Uri terror attack while also apportioning blame on the NDA government's "politics" for it. "The first responsibility is on Pakistan and the government's politics," he told reporters referring to the attack on the brigade headquarters near the Line of Control in Uri in which 18 soldiers were killed. The Congress vice president said while the UPA government spent nine years fighting terrorism and curbing it, the BJP-PDP alliance has "opened space" for terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. "The NDA has no strategy in Kashmir, national security can't be handled like public meets. This is a serious matter," said Rahul Gandhi. "PM Modi ji's short sighted alliance with PDP opened space for terrorism in Kashmir, our soldiers have died & I condemn that", he added. "Cong is ready to help in whatever way possible as far as our soldiers & GoI is concerned", Gandhi said. However, he clarified that " we want a long term concrete strategy not this events based activity. Because this is extremely dangerous for the country".
