Terrorist behind killing of RSS leader in Jammu identified; associated with Hizbul’s killer team
On April 9, RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma and his PSO were killed in the militant attack launched by Zahid Hussain in a health center in Kishtwar.

As per sources, the terrorist named Zahid Hussain is a member of Hizbul’s killer team , which was set up for target killing in Kishtwar.
He had joined Hizbul this year on April 6 and was included in the killer team of the outfit, sources said.
Zahid had opened fire at a health centre in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar town, in which local RSS leader, identified as Chandrakant Sharma, was killed.
New Delhi: The terrorist behind the killing of the RSS leader in Kishtwar district of the Jammu region in has been identified as a member of terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen As per sources, the terrorist named Zahid Hussain is a member of Hizbul’s killer team , which was set up for target killing in Kishtwar. He is said to be a resident of Dacchan locality. As per police, two brothers of Zahid were associated with Hizbul Mujahideen and had surrendered. It is being said that Zahid is close the Hizbul Commander Osama. The cops claim that the car which was used by him for fleeing the spot after killing Chandrakant Sharma and his PSO, was bought just a day before. He had joined Hizbul this year on April 6 and was included in the killer team of the outfit. Sources have revealed that the killer team has been constituted in Jammu and Kashmir which includes youths aged between 16 years and 25 years. On April 9, RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma and his PSO were killed in the militant attack launched by Zahid Hussain in a health center in Kishtwar. The terrorist had opened fire at a health centre in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar town, prompting authorities to impose curfew and call the army to maintain law and order in the communally sensitive region. The local RSS leader, identified as Chandrakant Sharma, was killed in the attack that targeted him, officials said. Chandrakant had gone to a local hospital for a check-up, they said. Narrating the sequence of events, officials said the suspected militants barged into the hospital and snatched Sharma’s PSO Rajinder Kumar's weapon. They attempted to fire at the RSS leader. In the ensuing scuffle, the policeman was shot dead while the RSS leader received injuries. Sharma was moved to Jammu by air for treatment but died in hospital, officials said. Curfew was clamped in Kishtwar as a "precautionary measure" following the incident. As per reports, Sharma was close to BJP state secretary Anil Parihar who was gunned down by militants last November in a similar fashion in Kishtwar. Anil, 52, and elder brother Ajit Parihar, 55, were shot dead by two pistol-wielding men while returning to their home.
