Tej Pratap Yadav Goes Solo With Students Wing, Forms ‘Chhatra Janshakti Parishad’. BJP Takes Dig At Lalu
This comes just days after Tej Pratap locked horns with RJD’s Bihar president Jagadanand Singh after the state president of students' wing Akash Yadav was replaced by Gagan Kumar.
Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav on Sunday formed his own organisation named the ‘Chhatra Janshakti Parishad’.
This comes just days after Tej Pratap locked horns with RJD’s Bihar president Jagadanand Singh after the state president of students' wing Akash Yadav was replaced by Gagan Kumar.
Prashant Pratap has been made the president of ‘Chhatra Janshakti Parishad’, while Aryan Rai has been made the vice-president and Piyush given the general secretary’s post.
Tej Pratap announced the new organisation on the occasion of Teacher’s Day during a programme at his official residence in the Bihar capital.
It is being said that this organisation, which will work outside Bihar also, will remain active during next year’s Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections as well and will expose the flaws of the government there.
Besides, working in favour of the students, the organisation will also cater to other aspects.
Tej Pratap said the ‘Chhatra Janshakti Parishad’ will mainly agitate for the cause of the students besides aiming at eliminating the problems related to health and law.
The ‘Chhatra Janshakti Parishad’ to be spread in every village will also have an active participation in the Panchayat elections. The members of the organisation can also contest the Panchayat elections.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nikhil Anand while commenting on the formation of ‘Chhatra Janshakti Parishad’ took a jibe at RJD supremo and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav.
“Respected Lalu Prasad Yadav ji made tall claims about social justice, but could not do justice in his own family. He could not assign them a responsible role as per their seniority. His elder daughter Misa Bharti and elder son Tej Pratap have been incited to leave the family and political system,” said Anand.
“He (Tej Pratap) has now formed a students’ organisation but the unfortunate reality is that he is not educated. How will a bogus student run a students’ organisation now? I feel sympathetic towards Tej Pratap at times. He doesn't seem to be successful but I wish him all the best for his efforts to establish his existence,” he added.
