'Resolved In Chennai, Fulfilled In Hyderabad!': Stalin Welcomes Telangana Assembly’s Resolution On Fair Delimitation

Calling this "just the beginning," Stalin expressed confidence that more states would join the movement, especially with second Joint Action Committee meeting set to take place in Hyderabad soon.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday welcomed the Telangana Legislative Assembly’s resolution calling for fair delimitation, stating that it reinforced the collective stand against any move that could disrupt India’s democratic balance. He highlighted that Telangana’s resolution, following Tamil Nadu’s lead, marked a significant step in the fight for justice, equity, and federal principles.

Calling this "just the beginning," Stalin expressed confidence that more states would join the movement, especially with the second Joint Action Committee (JAC) meeting set to take place in Hyderabad soon.

Taking to X, the Tamil Nadu CM wrote: "As resolved in Chennai, fulfilled in Hyderabad! Hon'ble Telangana CM Thiru. @revanth_anumula garu has walked the talk by tabling and passing a landmark resolution in the #Telangana State Assembly demanding #FairDelimitation that upholds justice, equity, and the federal spirit. Following Tamil Nadu’s lead, this act strengthens the collective call to resist any attempt that threatens the balance of our democracy."

He further added: "This is just the beginning. With the second #JointActionCommittee meeting set to take place in Hyderabad, more states will follow. We will not let anyone redraw India’s future unfairly."

Telangana CM Vows To Protect Rights

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who led the state’s resolution in the Assembly, reaffirmed the commitment to resist any discriminatory and biased delimitation process. Posting on X, Revanth Reddy said: "As the leader of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, we passed a resolution today asking the Centre not to take any steps that compromise the political self-respect & legitimate rights of our people. People of #Telangana & citizens of all other states of South India are united in protecting our rights and not allowing any discriminatory & biased Delimitation to be conducted, which would seriously impale the economically highest productive states of the country."

Vowing to continue the fight, he further added: "We will fight against all attempts to take away our rights. The first battle was won today. The war ahead is long, but we will eventually prevail."
