SP Patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav Admitted To Lucknow PGI Hospital

Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPIGMS) on Wednesday evening after he complained of uneasiness and breathlessness.

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPIGMS) on Wednesday evening after he complained of uneasiness and breathlessness. He was taken to the emergency ward where the doctors began treatment. SP sources said that he was likely to be discharged on Wednesday night but hospital sources said he would be kept under observation till Thursday. Mulayam's son and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has also paid a visit to his father at SGPGIMS. Speaking about his health with news agency ANI, Amit Agarwal, Chief Medical Superintendent(CMS), SGPGI said, "Former UP Chief Minister is admitted to SGPGI with a complaint of stomach ache. His vitals and other parameters are normal and he is stable." According to reports, a team of doctors at the hospital is examining him at present and doctors say that he will be admitted for a routine check-up. The former SP chief has not been keeping good health for sometime. Earlier this year in June, Mulayam was admitted to Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals in Kaushambi after he complaint of urinary retention. In the same month, he was again admitted to Medanta hospital. Recently, the incumbent UP CM Yogi Adityanath had paid visit to Mulayam's residence to inquire about his health. Mulayam's younger brother Shivpal Yadav was also present during the meeting with Adityanath, who also presented some books to the veteran SP leader and wished him good health. The veteran political leader has served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for three terms and is currently the Member of Parliament from Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency. He has also served as the Defence Minister from 1996 to 1998 in the Third Front government.
