Shatrughan Sinha criticises Centre again, targets Finance Ministry for faulty execution
New Delhi: A disgruntled Shatrughan Sinha on Friday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the demonetisation move but criticised the government over its implementation.
Actor turned politician and present MP from Bihar, Shatrughan Sinha has lately tweeted against Prime Minister’s demonetization and its effects on the common man.
In one tweet, he talks about the effect of women in particular.
...well Intentioned savings over many years of our mothers & sisters for emergency can't be equated with black money.

........It seems our team did not do it's homework properly which is why control measures have been too little and too late...... — Shatrughan Sinha (@ShatruganSinha) November 25, 2016"The Prime Minister took a timely and bold decision to curb the menace of black money. I appreciate him for for this," Sinha said. He, however, criticised the government functionaries and especially the Finance Ministry for poor implementation of the demonetisation decision and also sought action against those responsible for creating chaos in public.
"Who in your team are responsible from bringing the situation on the roads. There are long queues outside banks and ATMs. People are fed up," Sinha said. However, I have serious concerns about the outcome, fallout & responses of the people of India & the almost united opposition in particular.

I'm sure many of us have read analysis of noted economist Lawrence Summers, former chief economist of the World Bank & advisor to Obama Govt — Shatrughan Sinha (@ShatruganSinha) November 25, 2016
"Those responsible are from the government. They were not prepared for this post surgical strike against black money," he said adding that there was no plan B in place by those responsible for implementation of the scheme. "Action must be taken against them. Accountability must be fixed," he said. Asked whether he is targeting Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, he said, "He is my good friend and won't take anyone's name. Prime Minister is not responsible. The team which was responsible for its implementation didn't do its homework properly." Sinha also urged the government to take the help of financial and economic experts to bring the public out from the current chaos which they are facing. "Government needs to take help of people like Arun Shourie, Subramanian Swamy, Yashwant Sinha and even of Murli Manohar Joshi and L.K. Advani to contol the current chaos in the country post demonetisation," Sinha said...who concludes that this exercise has "resulted in chaos & loss of trust" and "without new measures, is unlikely to have lasting benefits."

Don't you think it is high time & right time to form a committee of our real experts and intellectuals like Arun Shourie, Yashwant Sinha.... — Shatrughan Sinha (@ShatruganSinha) November 25, 2016
Asked about the impact of demonetisation in Uttar Pradesh, Sinha said, "Nobody is criticising Modi. His image is still good there. But don't forget, those standing in queues and facing hardship, a big section of this are BJP supporter and voters." On Thursday, the actor in a series of tweets asked people to not live in a fool's paradise and get carried away by "planted stories and surveys conducted by vested interests". This was in reference to Modi's mobile app survey on demonetisation. Sinha has lambasted the Centre on earlier occasions as well. He termed the situation following demonetisation as "chaotic" and demanded that accountability should be fixed as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been let down by his team members. He praised "dashing, dynamic and action-hero" Modi for his "bold, wise and timely" move to curb black money but also blamed the government for its "faulty" execution while speaking to reporters outside parliament. He also questioned the restrictions imposed on withdrawal of money, saying people are being prevented from claiming their own money.....Subramanyam Swamy & other top economists and intellectuals of our party.....
