Will Start Parliament Session In Old Building If Elected In LS Polls: Sanjay Raut

Sanjay Raut launched a series of attack on PM Modi and the Centre on Thursday while speaking to reporters in Mumbai.

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government saying that the new Parliament building is like a "five-star jail" and that if his party's alliance forms the government, the Parliament sessions will be held in the old building.

"The new parliament is like a five-star jail where you can't work. When we form our govt we will start our parliament session in our historical parliament (old parliament). PM Modi should set a target of 600 instead of 400 for the 2024 elections...," Raut said while speaking to reporters in Mumbai.

He also launched an attack on PM Modi's Yavatmal rally on Wednesday where he distributed funds under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and the Maharashtra Rajya Namo Shetkari Samman Yojana, which entails an annual credit of Rs 12,000 (Rs 6,000 each from the Centre and the state) to the farmers.

"PM speaks lies, he is addicted to speak lies...don't know where this addition comes from," Raut said, adding "maximum number of farmers died by suicide where PM Modi did a rally yesterday."

He also said that Sharad Pawar was the only minister who helped Modi when he was Gujarat CM who helped his government in the agricultural department.

"When Modi was Gujarat CM and the UPA government has imposed an undeclared boycott of the Gujarat government, at that time it was Sharad Pawar only, who was the Union agricultural minister at that time, who used to help Modi government in the agricultural sector," Raut said.

"Sharad Pawar, when he was the Agriculture Minister before 2014 was one of the best agriculture ministers India ever had, it is said by none other than PM Modi...," he added.
