'Sack me if you can', UP minister Om Prakash Rajbhar challenges CM Yogi
In an aggressive speech, Rajbhar hit out at BJP and said that those pointing fingers at him will have to face bad consequences.
New Delhi: Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party leader and Uttar Pradesh minister Om Prakash Rajbhar known for his audacious remarks has now challenged the Yogi government to sack him if they can, hinting a tough road ahead for the BJP-SBSP alliance in the state.
Speaking to SBSP leader at a meeting in Lucknow, Rajbhar challenged CM Yogi by saying “remove me from the cabinet if anybody has the nerve to do it”. He said that nobody should threaten him that he would be removed from the cabinet.
In an aggressive speech, Rajbhar hit out at BJP and said that those pointing fingers at him will have to face bad consequences.
The backward class welfare minister of UP has stated that he would not mind if the alliance is broken.
Irked at BJP since past couple of months, Rajbhar has accused it of overlooking its responsibilities as an alliance partner. He has accused Yogi of paying heed to the ministers of his own party but ignoring those of SBSP.
Rajbhar is at present engaged in his campaign to ban alcohol in Uttar Pradesh. He has announced to hold rallies in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Party has also hinted that it will be decided in the final rally in Lucknow whether it will stay with BJP or not.
On 19 March 2017, Rajbhar became a cabinet minister in the Yogi Adityanath ministry as the minister of the Department of Backward Classes Welfare and the Department of Disabled People development.
