New Delhi: Minister of State for External Affairs Dr RajKumar Ranjan Singh on Thursday said that India’s stance remains neutral on the issue of tensions between Russia-Ukraine.

Russia launched a special “military operation” in Ukraine, warning that any attempt by countries to interfere with the action would lead to “consequences they have never seen”.

Meanwhile, India is closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation. The focus is on the safety and security of Indians, particularly students.

While at the 15-nation UN Security Council meeting, India had called for an immediate de-escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine and cautioned that the situation is in danger of spiraling into a major crisis.
