PM Modi Extends Wishes On Republic Day 2022. Rahul Gandhi & Other Leaders Greet The Nation

The day was chosen to adopt the Constitution to commemorate the declaration of ‘Purna Swaraj’ by the Indian National Congress on January 26, 1930.

New Delhi: The day marks the 73rd Republic Day which commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution on January 26, 1950. The Constitution of India not only celebrates the sovereignty of India officially becoming a republic and coming out of the British Monarchy, but also provides the basic structure for the country to move ahead with.

The day was chosen to adopt the Constitution to commemorate the declaration of ‘Purna Swaraj’ by the Indian National Congress on January 26, 1930. As the country celebrates the 73rd Republic Day, the leaders are at the forefront giving their best wishes to the people of the country.

On the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the country via a tweet saying, “आप सभी को गणतंत्र दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं। जय हिंद! Wishing you all a happy Republic Day. Jai Hind! #RepublicDay”

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi reiterated the faith of the country when it stepped forward with belief. He tweeted, “On Republic Day in 1950, our country took the first step in the right direction with confidence. Salute to that first step of truth and equality. Happy Republic Day. Jai Hind!”

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, “Greetings and warm wishes to the citizens of India on the occasion of 73rd #RepublicDay. This is an occasion to celebrate our democracy and cherish the ideas and values enshrined in our Constitution. Praying for the continued progress and prosperity of our country.”

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot also congratulated the country saying, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of #गणतंत्रदिवस . Republic Day inspires us to be devoted to the constitution of the country. It is the duty of all Indians to contribute to maintaining unity and integrity in the country while protecting the constitutional values. And strengthen Indian democracy.”

Meanwhile, West bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also extended her wishes on the occasion. She tweeted, "Let us strive to protect, preserve and follow the ideals of Justice, Liberty, Equality and  Fraternity, as enshrined in our Constitution, which, among other things, gives us our inalienable rights."
