EXCLUSIVE: 'As A Yogi, I Will Not At All Attend Mosque's Groundbreaking Ceremony,' Says Adityanath After Ram Mandir Event

New Delhi: After delivering a high-spirited address on the occasion of Ram Mandir  Bhoomi Poojan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said while speaking to ABP News that being a Yogi he would not at all attend the same function for mosque when its construction will begin in Ayodhya. In response Yogi said: “If asked as Chief Minister, I have no problem with any religion or sect, but as a yogi, I will not go at all." The firebrand BJP leader further said, 'I have every right to express my faith. When politically motivated leaders wear skull-caps and attend Roza-Iftar, it is not secularism and even public knows it very well. Neither any one will call me nor will I go to the mosque foundation laying programme. The day I will be invited, secularism will be in danger.” On Ram Mandir construction, he said that the issue was never about temple construction, rather, it was about the birthplace. “The battle was going on so that Ramlalla would be getting back his birthplace. Ram has many temples, the question was never about temple,” he said. Watch exclusive interview here: Launching an attack at the Congress party Yogi said that it never wanted a solution for the issue as it is its self-created controversy for gaining votes.  He said that the leaders of the party are completely unaware about constitutional values. Even the Constitution has Lord Ram and Sita in one of its page, as lord Rama is a strong base of democratic values. On Wednesday, Yogi Adityanath, who accompanied the Prime Minister during the brick laying ceremony of Ram Temple said under the leadership of PM Modi, the power of India's democratic values and its judiciary has shown the world that how can matters be resolved peacefully, democratically and constitutionally. Addressing the attendees after  the "Bhoomi Pujan”, he said the struggle of over 500 years has come to fruition.
