Rain, thunderstorm warning for UP

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 19 (ANI): The Meteorological Centre, Lucknow on Sunday issued rain and thunderstorm warning for several districts of Uttar Pradesh.

The meteorological department predicted rain and thunderstorm in Firozabad, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Bahraich, Santravidasnagar, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Mau districts and adjoining areas for the next three hours.

Meanwhile, the meteorological department also said that Kerala, which is reeling under acute flood situation, might get some relief from the incessant rains.

"It is expected that for the next five days there won't be heavy rainfall in Kerala, rainfall will gradually decrease over the state," said Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, India Meteorological Department official. (ANI)
