Rain Likely In THIS State Amid Scorching Heat. Check Weather Forecast For Delhi, UP, MP Today

North India Weather Forecast: Rain is likely in some parts of northern India amid an imminent heatwave. Snow and rain in Uttarakhand and Himachal will continue.

India Weather Update: The cold winds blowing over northern India have started to subside, and the heat is increasing. The rising heat has led to a further increase in temperature. While India saw the hottest year in 2024, this year could see a longer summer spell this year.

The weather remains dry in many districts of Delhi, UP, Bihar, and Rajasthan.

While a heat wave is already underway in many regions of the country, north India, including Delhi, could see an intense heatwave spell beginning next week. Despite that, El Niño conditions are unlikely this year. "We are not expecting El Niño conditions during the monsoon season. April-June to be hotter than usual, more heatwave days likely in many states," said India Meteorological Department (IMD) DG Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra

Rain is also expected in several places on Tuesday such as Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir.

Possibility Of Rain In Uttarakhand

Due to the active Western Disturbance, rain and snowfall continue in Uttarakhand as well. Snowfall is occurring in the higher reaches, and rain is expected in the lower areas. The minimum temperature here remains below normal.

Rain In Rajasthan

The IMD has forecast light rain in several districts of Rajasthan today. This may provide relief from the heat. According to the information, light rain with thunder and lightning is likely in the Udaipur-Kota division on April 2 and in the Ajmer-Kota division on April 3.

Temperature To Rise In MP

Strong winds have been blowing in many parts of Madhya Pradesh for the past few days, keeping the temperature below 39 degrees Celsius. But now, with the beginning of April and the cessation of the winds, the temperature is expected to cross 40 degrees Celsius. People will also have to face severe heat in the coming days.

Heat Going Up In Uttar Pradesh

The impact of an oncoming heat is being felt in Uttar Pradesh. People are finding it difficult to go out during the afternoon. In March, the maximum temperature in many districts of the state crossed 40 degrees Celsius. An imminent heatwave is expected in April.

Delhi Weather To Remain Dry

Strong winds have been blowing in Delhi for the past three days. But the heat is expected to increase further in April's second week. There is no rain forecast, which would bring hopes of relief. As the heatwave hits Delhi-NCR, the temperatures could touch 42 degrees Celsius.
